Commemoration of the 370th anniversary of the signing of the Concordia treaty

On Friday March 23, the 370th anniversary of the signing of the Concordia treaty was commemorated at the Mont des Accords college in the presence of Ms. KARAM, principal of the establishment, Ms. PAM, sub-prefect, secretary general of the prefecture of Saint -Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, Mrs. DAMASEAU, first vice-president of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin as well as a delegation from the territorial youth council and the Sint-Maarten Youth Parliament.

On this occasion, the Secretary General recalled in her speech that "the common destiny of the island is also faced with adversity" and that "it is cooperation that progresses and must progress, for security, for the protection of populations and risk management, for the sustainable development of the whole island ”.

The anthem of Saint Martin and the national anthems of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the French Republic punctuated this morning.

A sculptural work made with recycled materials from bulky items generated by cyclone Irma has been unveiled.
