TENNIS: Young TCISM hopefuls in the spotlight

Last Sunday, March 24, the Tennis Club Ile de Saint-Martin (TCISM) welcomed the club's young players for an U12 competition (12 years and over) and a Green Galaxy (8-11 years).

Among the U12s, the victory went to the favorite Noah Visnelda at the expense of Joséphine Assier de Pompignan who snatched her place in the final after a fierce fight against Hugo Castell, defeated 3/1, 1/3, 15/13 in the great tie-break.

The latter himself had to work hard to defeat, not without difficulty, Arthur Bichot, who made life difficult for him until the end of the decisive super tie-break.

Noah therefore confirms his victory in Saint-Barth a few months ago. After an injury to both knees which kept him away from the courts for several weeks, Noah found the rhythm to sign his return to form in the most beautiful way.

Themis Juilliard intractable

The Green Galaxy also saw the victory of the big favorite Thémis Juilliard, who left only crumbs to his four opponents. Left-handed, very gifted, from a family of experienced tennis players, whose mother is none other than the excellent Virginie Carien, a former great tennis player who is now in the heyday of Beach Tennis.

Themis, as a worthy heir, preceded in the order  Jiajun Chen, Alexis Alcote, Ophélie Cadel and Evelyn Iordanov.
