The investigation into the fatal road accident on Sunday June 30, 2019 has been postponed. She had been called for the first time on November 21, but further inquiries had been requested.
As a reminder, on the evening of June 30 last year, a scooter and a car, with two people on board, collided on the Savannah; the driver and passenger of the two-wheeler were killed. At the end of the investigation, only FR, identified as the driver of the car, was prosecuted for manslaughter.
But the investigation experienced a twist when another individual admitted to being the driver of the famous car, thus calling into question the responsibility of FR.
Admitting that at this stage, it was impossible to know what had really happened on June 30, the court ordered further information and the appointment of an investigating judge in Basse-Terre. The case had therefore been postponed to June 25 of this year.
Last week, the defense indicated that the investigating judge had still not carried out all the hearings. This is why the court therefore had to refer the case a second time, it will be examined on March 18, 2021. (soualigapost.com)
