As you would expect, the 2018 edition of the SXM Festival will not take place, who's at fault? To Irma of course! Until 2019, the organizers wanted to address the entire community of Saint Martin electronic music aficionados!

“Our attachment to Saint-Martin is immense, today more than ever. Like many, we want to see the island rise as quickly as possible, and we are convinced, in view of the extraordinary courage shown by the Saint-Martinois, that the island will overcome this ordeal and rise again stronger. Like you, our

professional life has been turned upside down by the terrible recent events, but you are a great source of inspiration in our unwavering desire to keep the SXM Festival as one of the most beautiful and most awaited events in the music sphere global electronics. The primary mission of the Festival has always been to support the development of tourism on the island and to contribute to its influence through quality marketing, which we will continue to do.

We tried to maintain our 2018 edition at all costs, because we like all Saint-Martinois that life should resume its normal course and as quickly as possible, and show it to the world. Only a few additional hotel rooms and air links were missing for the festival to be possible ... Alas, these are still insufficient, and in order to maintain a high quality Festival and to always take this event up. in order to attract as many people as possible, we have to wait until the infrastructure and logistics are functional. It is therefore with immense regret that we are forced to postpone the next edition of the Festival for March 2019.

We would like to thank with all our heart the community of aficionados of electronic music from Saint-Martin, we were deeply moved by your messages of encouragement and the love you carry for our beautiful project. We promise to come back even stronger, and set the bar even higher in the pursuit of our ambitious project.

Many thanks to the tourist offices of the two parts of the island, which do a remarkable job in crisis management and for the revival of tourism. Congratulations to all the Saint-Martinois who show an extraordinary sense of mutual aid and who are working hard to rebuild the island. Beyond the beauty of Saint-Martin, the success of the Festival also depends on you, its inhabitants. Our project is also yours, and we are only at the beginning of this common adventure.

Bravo to you and stay strong! " _AF
