This May 25, 2024, the French Red Cross will celebrate its 160 years of commitment and humanitarian actions.

Since its creation, this institution, supported by its volunteers, has responded to major historical challenges, becoming a symbol of protection and humanity. Philippe Da Costa, president of the French Red Cross, underlines the importance of this organization as a landmark and place of social connection. The French Red Cross, anchored in French and overseas territories, works for a more resilient and engaged society. For several years, it has launched a dynamic of transformation to respond to new crises and promote social diversity. With 75.000 volunteers and 17.200 employees, the French Red Cross intervenes in emergencies and supports the most vulnerable on a daily basis. It offers support adapted to the economic, psychological, physical and material needs of people in difficulty. May 25 will also mark the start of the National Quest Days, until June 2, 2024, allowing everyone to support the French Red Cross including the Territorial Delegation of Saint-Martin chaired by Ketty Karam Fischer. _VX
