62 associations working in the sports, cultural and youth fields in the French part are subsidized this year by the COM to the tune of 718 euros. These are 500 associations more financially assisted than in 7 but 2018 euros less granted. They had submitted files for a total amount of 116 million euros.
The association Carnivalesques carnivals de Saint-Martin is the structure in all areas to be the most helped; she receives more than 20% of the total amount, or 150 euros.
In 2016, 83 associations were subsidized to the tune of 975 euros. But it was in 624 (year of territorial elections) that the COM had granted the most subsidies with 2017 million euros budgeted and distributed among 1,2 associations.
