The prefecture of Guadeloupe stepped up its measures last weekend to fight against the circulation of Covid-19 on its territory.
Among the new measures taken, that for travelers from Martinique, Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélemy and Guyana to have to justify an overriding reason for professional, health or family travel. This measure is applicable from this week, it is indicated on the site of the prefecture.
In addition, since Saturday gatherings of more than 10 people on public roads and in public spaces are prohibited in Guadeloupe, whatever their nature (except funeral ceremonies, passenger transport, protest demonstrations, markets), access to beaches, bodies of water, rivers and picnic areas is prohibited from 11:30 am to 14:30 pm and from 20 pm to 6 am.
All gatherings and meetings of a festive nature, open to the public, for a fee or free of charge, which take place in a private space are prohibited.
