This Sunday, December 4, the firefighters of Saint-Martin open the doors of their rescue center to the general public. They will welcome you all day, from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m.
"During our last Open Day in 2019, we welcomed more than 2000 people", underlines Fabrice Burnett, president of the Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Saint-Martin. After two years of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are happy to be able to organize this kind of event again, which is very popular with both adults and children.
Many activities and events are planned throughout the day on Sunday to introduce the general public to the world of firefighters: personal rescue (road accident), road rescue manoeuvre, passage of firefighters in a smoky room, rescue-clearance in the event of an earthquake or cyclone, search for a person with the canine firefighters and their dog "Onyx".
So many life-size exercises that the spectators will be able to attend without forgetting, of course, the possibility for the children to get into the fire truck with the famous siren of the "PIMPOM PIMPOM!" ". _AF
