Report on regional seismicity

In November 2016, regional telluric activity remained stable compared to that of previous months, according to the latest data published by the Guadeloupe Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (OVSG-IPGP). The observatory recorded, in a region of 450 km around Guadeloupe, a total of 159 earthquakes of tectonic origin, with a maximum magnitude of 4,5. No less than 96 earthquakes have been recorded between Saintes and Dominica. Concerning the Northern Islands located in the island arc of the Lesser Antilles, no earthquake was recorded in November, for the 2nd consecutive month. As a reminder, if you experience an earthquake, you are invited by the Observatory to report it on the site. _EH
