Caribbean Auto presents the all-new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta

The new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta turbocharged is available at Caribbean Auto with a bold design and innovative technology.

The all-new Volkswagen Jetta, one of the most successful sedans in the world, with over 17,5 million models sold worldwide since its launch in 1979, is now available in St. Maarten / St. Martin at Caribbean Auto . The new Jetta is based on the award-winning MQB platform, Volkswagen's Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform architecture.

“The all-new 2019 Jetta offers a bolder design, even more interior space and the very latest in premium class technology,” said Tariq Amjad, Managing Director of Caribbean Auto. “We are delighted to be able to expand Volkswagen's range with these innovative models.”

The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will be available in Trendline, Comfortline, R-Line and Highline versions. All models come standard with a powerful 1,4L turbocharged engine, making it the fastest vehicle in its segment. The all-new Jetta starts at just $ 19 or $ 500 a month!

Exterior I For the 2019 model, the Jetta is based on Volkswagen's Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform architecture. Working with the flexible MQB platform allowed designers to reshape the body by creating a longer wheelbase, a wider track, and a shorter overhang. The steeply sloping rear roofline results in a coupe-like profile. Dynamic lines and taut surfaces combine with the new silhouette to give the Jetta a look that is both elegant and sporty.

Compared to the current car, the new car expands outward in all directions. It is longer, wider and taller than the outgoing model. The increased exterior proportions add to more interior space than the previous car.

On the outside, the all-new Jetta marks an evolution of the DNA of Volkswagen's clean and timeless design, modern lines and refined appearance. The combination of a large grille and sharper lines gives off a bold character, while the addition of more chrome and LED lighting gives a premium feel.

LED headlights and taillights are standard on all models.

The Jetta R-Line goes even further by offering 17-inch sporty rims, a more aggressive rear bumper with double exhaust, a shiny black grille, black mirror caps and an R-Line badge.

Interior I The interior architecture of the Jetta has been redesigned, having been designed to improve comfort while supporting a sophisticated and upscale design. The 2019 Jetta has more height

under the head, space for the knees and shoulders than the previous car. Trunk space is 400 liters and folding rear seats (60/40) are standard.

The cockpit is a driver-centric environment, with a shape-tracking function. The instruments and infotainment system are arranged in an easy-to-read horizontal orientation. The infotainment system and climate interface are located on the center console, which is tilted towards the driver.

Amazing technology I - Power adjustable perforated leather seats with memory settings, plus air-conditioned seats (air-conditioned / ventilated seats)

- BeatsAudio Premium audio system

- Active display of VW digital cockpit information: configurable digital instrument panel display configurable in 10,25 inch format instead of conventional instruments.

- Customizable 10-color LED ambient lighting system

- Driving mode selection - Choose from Normal, Sport, Eco and Custom.

- Acoustically optimized panoramic sunroof

- Superb 8-inch touchscreen (standard on all models)

- VW App Connect App - Android Auto and Apple Car Play (standard on all models)

- Parking distance control (front / rear sensors and camera)

- KESSY - Smart keyless entry with push-button engine start

- Climatronic® two-zone automatic air conditioning

- LED headlights and taillights (standard on all models)

- Electronic parking brake with automatic hold (standard on all models).

Powertrain I While the 2019 Jetta is more technologically advanced than ever, maintaining its fun character was essential. The new Jetta is powered by Volkswagen's 1,4-liter turbocharged TSI® engine with direct injection, which develops 147 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The 16-valve engine is capable of generating maximum torque at just 1 rpm, while delivering an EPA estimated fuel economy of 400/30/40 mpg (city / highway / combined), regardless the choice of transmission.

R-Line models come with a sporty XDS Cross differential system for more precise steering and suspension.

Safety I The 2019 Jetta offers a combination of passive and active safety systems designed to meet or exceed current collision regulations.

The thorax interior and side airbags protect the driver and front passenger, while the Side Curtain Protection® side airbags protect those of the front and rear side seats.

For more safety and traction control, the electronic stability control (ESC) and the non-slip control (ASR) are two high-end safety devices.

Finally, an impressive brake system completes the athletic performance of the Jetta. Up front there are 11,5-inch ventilated discs and 10,8-inch rear discs. The system features a brake disc drying function to help remove water from the rotors to optimize braking in wet conditions, as well as Electronic Brake Pressure Distribution (EBD), hydraulic brake assist ( HBA). All Jetta models also feature an electronic parking brake (EPB) with automatic hold.
