The elected members of the Executive Council consulted on January 19 on the deliberation relating to the collection and treatment of end-of-life and bulky metal vehicles abandoned in Saint-Martin.

The members unanimously decided to approve the provisional budget for this operation provided for in the initial budget, with a total cost of 450.000 euros spread over three years: 150.000 euros for the collection and transport of end-of-life vehicles ( VHU) and 300.000 euros for their treatment. The elected officials gave their approval for the following financing plan: 225.000 euros for the COM (50%) and 225.000 euros for ADEME (50%). The Executive Council validated the grant application from the Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) for an amount of 225.000 euros. As a reminder, as part of the fight against chikungunya, the Collectivity has set up a campaign to collect and treat ELVs, wrecks and bulky objects abandoned in the territory.
