COLLEGE MONT DES ACCORDS: Laptops given to six students with disabilities

Computer equipment to promote the social and academic integration of students with disabilities. It is in this approach that National Education, via the rectorate of Guadeloupe, handed over six laptops this Tuesday, May 21 to six students attending Mont des Accords college.

“These computers loaned by the Rectorate of Guadeloupe for a period of approximately four years are intended for students with MDPH certification, for adapted educational materials,” explains Sandra Neyen, teacher responsible for the education of students with disabilities. “To date, we have received twenty laptops to meet the specific needs of students in primary, middle and high schools in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. Everyone benefits from personalized support in the presence of the digital manager of the academic inspection, the digital educational advisor of the inspection and the digital manager of the establishment. Students but also parents are supported to better master the use of the computer which includes several software programs depending on the student's needs (reading, writing, mathematics, etc.). A majority of children use computers in the classroom and at home.”

Very satisfied with this donation of computer equipment, Sandra Neyen now hopes to ensure that other operations of this type are repeated over time. Wish heard since a second delivery of twenty other computers by the Rectorate of Guadeloupe is expected at the end or beginning of the next school year._AF
