Total containment in the Dutch part: The border points of Cupecoy and Oyster Pond are closed, those of Bellevue and Belle Plaine remain partially open

A new official exchange was held today in the prefecture, in the presence of the prefect, Sylvie Feucher, of the gendarmerie commander Stephan Basso, all in videoconference with the Prime Minister of the Government of Sint-Maarten, Sylveria Jacobs and in audioconference with the President of the Community, Daniel Gibbs. So what's the news from the front?

We cut the pear in half! If the borders of Cupecoy (Terres-Basses) and Oyster Pond are now completely closed, those of Bellevue and Belle Plaine (Quartier d'Orléans) remain partially open ... but subject to strict control formalities:

Clearly, for residents of the French side, they must be in possession of a document issued and signed by the representative of the State, authorizing them to cross these two symbolic border crossings, only for emergency reasons or compelling professionals.

To do this, you must request an official proof by sending an email to covid19pref@saint-barth-saint-martin.gouv.fr
Your request must be accompanied by the following:
-Last name
-First name
-Date and place of birth
-Personal address
-Function
-Business address

You are also required to attach a copy of the professional certificate that you use to travel in the French part. It must be signed by your employer. Any request that does not transmit this form will not be taken into account.

And to come to the French side?

Just more of the same ! Residents of Sint Maarten will also be able to travel to the French side via Bellevue and Belle Plaine for urgent or urgent professional reasons. On the one and only condition, however, of being in possession of an official document issued by the Dutch government.
