The number of contaminations continues to increase in the Dutch part; 235 new cases were confirmed last week by the authorities, against 180 the previous week (+ 55 additional cases). This brings the total number of people who have tested positive since the start of the pandemic to 3.
In two weeks, the number of new cases is 415, an unprecedented situation. As a reminder, in August last year during the second wave, 348 people had tested positive in one month. Similarly in May, 406 new cases had been confirmed over a month. Today, the number of contaminations is greater over a period that is twice as short.
As of Friday, 236 people with contact cases were in quarantine, 331 in isolation at home and 14 patients were hospitalized.
