Covid-19: Epidemiological indicators are improving in St-Martin


The epidemiological indicators for Saint-Martin are improving but still remain high. Hospital pressure is still high, specifies the Regional Health Agency in its weekly health bulletin.

For the week of January 17 to 23, the ARS counted 566 new cases of Covid-19 on the territory, against 1590 the previous week. The number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed in Saint-Martin since the start of the health crisis is 9439.

Note that since last Monday, 95 new cases of Covid-19 have already been recorded out of 1051 analyzes carried out.


A drop in indicators

According to SI-DEP ARS data, the incidence rate is down to 1583,4/100 population, from 000/4448,1 from January 100 to 000.

The weekly positivity rate is down, with a rate of 12,1% from January 17 to 23, compared to 21,7% the previous week.

Finally, since Wednesday, 17 confirmed Covid patients have been treated at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital center. The hospital impact remains high, the white plan launched previously is still in force. No medical evacuation was carried out. In contrast, a 61rd death was mourned last week. _AF
