The association Les Fruits de Mer invites the Saint-Martin population to the launch of Soualiga Colors, a new coloring book that highlights local flora and fauna. The free event will take place this Saturday, February 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Amuseum Naturalis in Quartier d'Orléans.
Visitors will be able to receive for free the book and participate in creative activities such as a coloring station and wooden bookmark decoration workshop.
This book is part of the Soualiga collection, a multilingual educational series which allows children to learn colors in English, French, Spanish and Dutch.
Each color is illustrated by a local animal or plant, with exercise pages to practice writing and reading.
A picture guide helps identify species in color.
Ce educational project was designed to strengthen school learning et raise awareness among young people about the natural wealth of their island.
Thanks to the support of public and private partners, Soualiga Colors will be distributed free of charge to local students as part of a educational program.
Interested teachers and facilitators can contact the association to obtain copies.
The book is also available in free download on their website. See you Saturday morning at the Amuseum Naturalis! _VX
