The fourth edition of the SXM Festival will take place from March 11 to 15, 2020. Phase 1 of the program has already been revealed. In particular, Blond will perform: Ish, Bedouin, Enzo Siragusa, Holmar, Marco Carola, etc.
The festival includes seven meetings: the Jungle Party at the Loterie Farm, the Sunrise Party at Layla's at Nettle Bay, the Villa Party at the Sandyline villa at Terres Basses, the Lotus and Karakter at Simpson Bay, a Boat Party on the lagoon at sunset and concerts at the major event site, Happy Bay Beach.
This year, the festival organizers wanted to "develop a sustainable environmental program". This consists of the use of 100% biodegradable glasses and packaging, solar lights and LEDs for site lighting, the creation of decorations from recycled materials, reused year after year and waste management; "Each site is carefully cleaned before, during and after the event and trees are planted", specify the organizers.
In 2019, the SXM Festival has already gone completely without paper thanks to the RFID system. “When it comes to payments, many attendees don't want to carry a wallet with them while they party. The Eventbrite partner has therefore developed Ebpay, a platform that allows you to create your profile, add automatic account recharging options so that festival-goers can afford drinks and other services easily and without physical currency. The festival is therefore very safe. Executives from Eventbrite came to make sure the program was running smoothly. In order to ensure this and to guarantee the proper functioning of such a system on a remote island where access to the internet is sometimes uncertain, the organizers have used their own generators and entered into a strategic partnership with Dauphin Telecom. , which facilitated network management. Thanks to a telephone antenna, the good performance of the system during the 5 days of the festival was ensured ”, explain the organizers who have also entered into a partnership with the Nature Reserve and Blue Finance. Divers have explored the seabed and produced 3D videos that will be available during the festival where participants can at the same time make a donation; the videos were funded by the SXM Festival and Hommage Hotel & Résidences.
