“I was very touched to learn of the death of Mr. Albert Brookson on Sunday September 23 in Paris, at the age of 60, following health complications. His career within the territorial institution was exemplary, he was a devoted man, of great kindness. A man with a big heart, attentive and always ready to make his contribution.

Albert Brookson had taken up his duties in the commune of Saint-Martin on September 1, 1983, as secretary of the town hall. He previously worked as a stage manager at Grand Case Airport. On August 1, 1994, he was promoted to Territorial Director, the highest rank in our institution. With the advent of the new community in 2007, Mr. Brookson was then appointed Deputy Director General (DGA), in charge of the evaluation of Public Policies. He was also responsible for participatory democracy and the organization of Neighborhood Councils.

Albert Brookson will have spent 35 years in our territorial institution; a dense and prolific professional life, entirely devoted to public service. The elected officials who have succeeded each other at the head of the executive, all the staff and our constituents will keep fond memories of this man committed to Saint Martin and Saint Martin, who had made public service the common thread of his professional career.

The members of the Territorial Council of Saint-Martin and the employees of the community join me in extending our comfort to his family and loved ones. Our deep condolences go to Corinne his wife and children Aurore, Steve and Hervé, who have my full support. ”
