On Tuesday July 30, the Minister of Justice of Sint Maarten, Cornelius de Weever, in the presence of the chief of police, Carl John, and the management team, said farewell to Lieutenant-Colonel Sébastien Manzoni, commander of the gendarmerie company of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin.
In office since August 1, 2015, Commander Sébastien Manzoni maintained, during his entire stay, very close working relations with the authorities on the Dutch side. The working cooperation between the two parts of the island, since 2015, has seen a major improvement according to police officials.
To thank him, a lunch was organized for him at the “Sheers” restaurant located on Front Street. A gift was also given to Sébastien Manzoni for the work he has accomplished, and the cooperation put in place throughout this period of four years of presence on the island. Minister Cornelius de Weever and Chief of Police Carl John thanked Sébastien Manzoni for his contribution and wished him well for the rest of his career._RM
