On Monday July 2, President Daniel Gibbs received at the community hotel alongside the prefect Régine Pam representing the Prefect delegate in the communities of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, Anne Laubies, the European delegation led by Mr. Pierre Dirlewanger from DG Régio, in charge of monitoring European funds.
The purpose of this technical meeting was to take stock of the state of progress of the 2014-2020 programming in Saint-Martin, on which several structuring projects were planned. The implementation of the Operational Program (FSE and FEDER) and the YEI - FEADER - FEAMP - INTERREG and CTE programs were presented. A progress report was also made on the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF), set up after the hurricanes of September 2017. This working meeting was followed by a field visit on a operation co-financed by European funds.
On Wednesday 4 July, President Gibbs went to Guadeloupe to participate in the 5th Monitoring Committee for European funds, chaired by the President of the Guadeloupe Region, Mr. Ary Chalus.
On the agenda of this plenary meeting, the state of progress of the 2014-2020 program, the communication strategy on European programs, the evaluation plan of current programs, the ERDF and ESF components and to conclude , the post 2020 outlook.
