Last Thursday took place, at the Hervé Williams 2 school, the final of the "Grand Concours de Dictée des Ecoles", sponsored as every year by the Lions Club Oualichi.
“The 2022 edition was dedicated to Evelina Halley, 1st Saint-Martinoise Baccalaureate in 1936 and mother of our Lion friend, Guy Anaïs”, underlines the vice-president of the Lions Club Oualichi, Véronique Paul. “The latter had prepared a short presentation on his life for the finalists, the teaching teams and the families”.
The students qualified for the grand finale demonstrated that this exercise, dreaded by so many schoolchildren of yesterday and today, can be approached in a studious but also friendly atmosphere.
The Oualichi Lions Club would like to thank the generous partners, thanks to whom gifts and a hearty breakfast were offered to the seven finalists: the staff of the Emergency Department of the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital as well as David and Eddie Lake, members of the Oualichi Lions Club presenting the recipients with the cups and medals.
Special mention to the big winner, Jérémy Rogers, Naheem Burnett and Jean-Louis Noham finishing respectively in 2nd and 3rd place in this 2022 edition. _AF
