Environment: The “anti-plastic” brigade of the Quartier d'Orléans college still in action!

0

During the school holidays, the “anti-plastic” brigade of the college in Quartier d'Orléans carried out its second cleaning of the year around the college.

The students of the 4th B class, accompanied by their English teacher Madame Arnaud, had wished to invite this time the students of CM1 and CM2 (classes of Ms. Sabas and Ms. Doreassamy) from Clair St-Maximin primary school and this for many reasons. First of all "this enlarges our brigade which is growing day by day" explains a student of the class but above all, these two classes are part of the "Marine Educational Areas". They have therefore been supported by the nature reserve since the beginning of the year and participate in various projects linked to the environment within the framework of the MEAs. The guards of the Nature Reserve as well as Mr. Oliva, responsible for the education pole, therefore presented themselves this morning in order to support the students in their process. It was an opportunity to discuss the problem of pollution in general but above all, that of plastic pollution, a scourge which particularly affects middle school students: “since our last cleaning there are again Caprisuns, sticks lollipops and lots of plastic bottles around the college. "It affects us but we do not give up hope by saying that we can change mentalities". Some young people even joined the group during the clean-up when they were not aware of this action, the brigade therefore remains mobilized and motivated!
