Already winner of the R1 territorial championship at the end of June against Saint-Louis Stars (4-1), the Junior Stars club added an additional line to its record last Sunday by winning the League Cup against AS Phoenicks. Champagne!
A week after logically winning at the expense of Saint-Louis Stars in the final of the Territorial R1 Championship, the Junior Stars players met again on Sunday July 7 at the Thelbert Carti stadium in Quartier d'Orléans as part of of the League Cup final. This last meeting of the 2023-2024 season kept all its promises in front of a large audience delighted with the spectacle offered by the two teams throughout the ninety minutes. Despite good opposition, AS Phoenicks lost by a score of two goals to one against a more realistic opponent. The entire Junior Stars squad was able to burst into joy after the final whistle. Victory in the championship, ditto in the cup, what more could you ask for? _AF
