The 1st edition of the Soualiga Cup organized by the League of Saint-Martin last weekend held all promises at the Albéric Richards stadium with the victory of Guyana before a Saint-Martin selection which is far from unworthy.
The two coaches of the Saint-Martin selection, Hervé Happy and Gilles Petit can be legitimately satisfied with the route taken by their protégés throughout the three days of the competition.
After taking a penalty shootout in the semi-finals at the expense of Barbados, the Saint-Martin footballers bowed a short header in the final against Guyana, with the visitors scoring the only goal in a penalty litigation granted one minute before the end of regular time.
Whatever, the selection of Saint-Martin produced a quality game that augurs beautiful things for the future!_AF
