TRAINING / CFA Mangrove: a new direction for apprentices

0

Last Wednesday, 20 young people from CFA Mangrove signed their apprenticeship contracts with companies in the catering sector, marking the end of their training and the beginning of a new professional adventure. These contracts, lasting one year, allowed them to join establishments located in various districts of Saint-Martin yesterday.

Of the 48 young people who started the training, 20 have found a place in a company, while around ten are still looking for an employer, particularly in the reception sector. The programme mainly welcomes young people aged 16 to 29, but also includes a few profiles over 30, as well as two people with disabilities, exempt from any age limit. Thirteen employers from the HCR sector (hotels, cafés, restaurants) are participating in this initiative, demonstrating their commitment to these young talents. "We are proud of the journey of these learners. Their motivation and seriousness are essential. We want young people who are ready to learn and work as they should be," underlines Antoine Gomes, director of the CFA Mangrove. At the same time, the center plans to soon open a pastry platform dedicated to takeaway sales, offering additional opportunities to future apprentice pastry chefs from the first quarter of 2025. This system illustrates a strong desire to support professional integration and meet the needs of the sector, while promoting the efforts of young people ready to build their future in the catering and hotel industry. _VX
