The vocational training and learning center which opened its doors on May 3, 2021 in Hope Estate has blown its first candle and the results are favourable.
Gladys Repetto, director and founder of the Académie des Métiers, is delighted with this first year of existence: “We are delighted with the first year completed, we have wonderful trainers, the results are very positive. Now, we are going to work on improvements after this laboratory year, we now know what we have to put in place according to the problems of the island. In any case, we continue to favor quality. » With 210 students enrolled to date and 40 more by the start of the school year, the Académie Des Métiers located in Hope Estate clearly meets the objectives detailed during the inauguration in 2021. The school offers students leaving ninth grade training that will go from CAP, BAC PRO, BTS to BACHELOR. It also has the status of CFA which empowers it to offer apprenticeship training, as well as a set of professional certifications recognized by the State. On the program of the professions offered: human resources, sales, tourism, real estate, social work, aesthetics, hairdressing, assistantship and NRDC (Negotiation and Digitalization of Customer Relations). In order to expand its training offer, the Académie Des Métiers recently received the authorization to open second, first and final classes in general with specific specialties unpublished on the territory and now benefits from FSE (European Social Fund) ) who participate in the implementation of national public policies to promote employment.
To mark the occasion of this first year, the Académie Des Métiers team organized a morning photo session with around fifty of their students and the entire team. The opportunity will also be to feed the site of the private training center which has the will to share their daily life as well as the atmosphere which reigns within the Académie Des Métiers.
