The selection of Golfers  “Tamarins” won the traditional “Concordia Cup” last weekend against the St Maarten Golf Association (SMGA) for the 5th consecutive year

Correction of the article published in error in our paper version of this Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

At the end of the games on 2 x 9 holes on Saturday (9 holes in foursome, 9 holes in 4 balls), each selection counted 9 points on the leaderboard.

LThe suspense therefore remained intact Sunday morning at the beginning of the 18 singles games.

Each of the 18 golfers making up the Saint-Martin team faced in match play an SMGA golfer with a possible gain of one point for victory and half a point in the event of a tie.

And our Tamarins golfers, determined to keep the Jason Nyuiadzi Trophy in the French part, went wild. Singles victory with a clear score of 13 to 5 for a final score over the 2 days of 22 to 14.

At the end of the competition, a buffet/sandwich with drinks were served to the participants on the large round table the shadow of the damn giant, in joy and good humor during this period of unity and the feast of Saint-Martin/St Maarten.

Les Tamarins thanks the SMGA for the organization, Mullet Golf Course and its staff and the Cabinet insurance ODEALIM for the supply of polo shirts for the Saint-Martin team.
Next golf meeting Saturday 2
5 November 8h shotgun, competition original stableford with 4 clubs only: 3 clubs + putter or 4 clubs without putter.
