The K1 Britannia Foundation has developed since 2014 a multitude of charitable projects to address the social problems faced by young people in St. Maarten, many of whom are vulnerable and in difficulty.
K1 maintains a large network of local and international volunteers through its volunteer program and has launched a disaster relief program following the experience with Hurricane Irma in 2017, after which they got very involved to help .
The four poles of intervention of the K1 Britannia Foundation are as follows:
- Disaster relief
- Family placement
- Second chance
- Volunteering
Since the Covid-19 crisis, K1 Britannia has been working intensively with partner organizations to distribute food and hygiene packages to needy individuals and households in the community. As the needs continue to grow, the K1 Britannia Foundation is reaching out to the people for help and would like to thank all of its committed volunteers, partner organizations, government staff and all who are helping wholeheartedly to provide assistance during this unforeseen crisis.
