The Regional Operational Center for Surveillance and Rescue (CROSS) Antilles Guyane based in Fort-de-France in Martinique recently created its new Telegram channel for sea enthusiasts in the Northern Islands, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana.
Dedicated to the dissemination of "Coastal Marine Bulletins", the Telegram channel of the CROSS Antilles Guyane allows you to stay informed in real time about maritime conditions, weather forecasts and navigation alerts concerning the Northern Islands, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana. Open to everyone, this channel is particularly aimed at boaters, professional sailors or simply lovers of the sea. This new system, which already has more than five hundred members, will fully contribute to navigating in complete safety and keeping abreast of the latest maritime information. The Antilles-Guyana Regional Operational Surveillance and Rescue Center (CROSS AG), placed under the operational authority of the prefect of Martinique and the prefect of French Guiana, coordinates search and rescue operations at sea in a vast area of competence covering in particular a large part of the Caribbean arc. It also monitors maritime traffic and marine pollution, as well as the dissemination of maritime safety information.
