An inclusive, family and unifying walk
This peaceful march allowed the population to find themselves in a "safe space" where everyone was able to express their indignation at the omnipresence and trivialization of violence in the territory. The diversity among the demonstrators was a reflection of the diversity that symbolizes our island but above all of a common desire to live together free from violence.
Education, prevention, information
Through a circuit that traces the journey of the victims (when they dare to speak), the demonstrators met the associations that support them and discovered the devices made available to those who wish to be protected in situations of emergency to then rebuild. “The road to reconstruction is long, but we are becoming survivors! »Declares a protester during a powerful and emotional testimony.
Thank you to the demonstrators, young and old, for their investment and their participation in the smooth running of the event.
The collective "NousToutes SXM" thanks the associations Trait d'Union, Le Manteau de St-Martin, the Red Cross and the Gendarmerie for their warm welcome and their commitment to the victims, as well as the Prefecture and the Gendarmerie services. which we were able to walk safely.
A big thank you to the WallArt SXM association and the artist Lily Hinckfoot @Lilysnotanartist for the colorful and committed fresco that immortalizes our message in the public space!
