More than 3 PCR tests carried out on the island since March

Since the confirmation of the first case of covid-19 last March, 3 PCR tests have been carried out on the island as of August 461, 14% partly Dutch (33 tests) and 1% partly French (140 tests) .

378 samples were found to be positive, ie almost 11%. The positivity rate since mid-March has been 4,7% in the French part with 109 confirmed cases and 23,5% in the Dutch part with 269 confirmed cases.

At the start of the second wave (around July 26), 1 tests had been carried out in part French. A further 080 were used over the past two weeks, including 1 during the mobile screening campaign launched on July 241 by the prefecture, the ARS and the Red Cross. More than half of all testing has been done since July 653.

In Sint Maarten, 634 tests among the population of Sint Maarten had been carried out as of July 26, 973 were carried out during the last two weeks. Half of all testing has been done since July 26.

In addition, 532 tests were carried out at Juliana Airport upon arrival of passengers.
