In a column addressed to our colleagues from the Journal de Saint-Barth, the president of the Collectivity of Saint-Barthélemy, Bruno Magras announced yesterday his decision not to run for a sixth term in a row during the territorial elections which will take place on 20 and March 27 next.
After forty years dedicated to public life, including twenty-seven as mayor and then president of the Territorial Collectivity of Saint-Barthélemy, Bruno Magras has therefore decided to end his long political career. “I come to the twilight of a full life. It is with the feeling of accomplishment that I leave the political scene, ”he underlines. "To those who over these long years have trusted me, to the elected officials who have accompanied and supported me, to my close collaborators and to the agents of the community who have enabled me to succeed on this journey, I address my most sincere thanks. For those who will take over, I wish you courage and success”. _AF
