A workshop on Reggaeton, led by Dr. Petra R. Rivera-Rideau, will be offered to the public at the next edition of the book fair, the organizers announced. Participants will also have the opportunity to discover his book entitled “Remixing Reggaeton: The Cultural Politics of Race in Puerto Rico”. The presentation of this musical style is added to the series of music workshops organized since 2003 at the University of Saint-Martin (USM) as part of this event. Save the date: this 15th edition - organized by several partners, including the Conscious Lyrics foundation and the House of Nehesi publishing house - will be launched on June 1 at the Cité scolaire in La Savane, from 20 p.m.
