Six sargassum grounding sites have been identified in the French part. In March 2019, the COM launched a call for tenders to select one or more companies for the collection, removal and transport of stranded algae on these six sites; depending on the location, the company must spread and / or remove and / or transport the algae to the eco-site.
On June 13, 2019, the tender committee selected two companies which it submitted to the executive council. On July 3, 2019, the elected officials thus decided to award the framework agreement to purchase orders as follows:
1 Lot: Collection service for sargassum from the Grande Caye site to the company Gumbs Technique Nouvelle for a daily amount of 1 euros,
2 Lot: Collection service for sargassum from the Cul de Sac site to Janky Environnement for an amount of 22,50 euros per ton,
3 Lot: Collection service for sargassum from the Mont Vernon site to the company Gumbs Technique Nouvelle for a daily amount of 1 euros,
4 Lot: Collection service for sargassum from the Baie de L'embouchure site to the company Gumbs Technique Nouvelle for a daily amount of 1 euros,
5 Lot: Sargassum collection service from the fish pond site transport to the Eco site to the company Janky Environment for an amount of 22,50 euros per ton,
6 Lot: Collection service for sargassum from the Lucas Bay site to the company Gumbs Technique Nouvelle for a daily amount of 1 euros.
