As part of the renewal of the coordination agreement between the gendarmerie and the territorial police for a period of three years signed on Friday morning in the Collectivity, it was agreed that they “will co-locate their forces in Quartier d'Orléans, one of the districts priorities of city policy ”. "We are thus strengthening the cooperation of the security forces for the sake of proximity and efficiency," commented COM President Daniel Gibbs.
In concrete terms, this means that territorial police officers will work four days a week in the barracks' offices in Quartier. They will also participate in patrols on the ground, the objective being "to allow more contact with the population and develop more cooperation".
