The SXM Road Safety association intervened on March 10 and 11 in Quartier Orléans to raise awareness and train in road safety 130 young schoolchildren from the Roche Gravée college in Moho as part of the city policy carried out by the Prefecture of Saint Barthélemy/Saint Martin and the Collectivité of Saint Martin, the PADSR Guadeloupe and the development fund for community life.

Several dramatic road traffic accidents have recently impacted Saint Martin. Raising awareness and training in road safety for our youth is essential in order to limit dangerous behavior on the road. Thus, these 130 college students, all residents of Quartier Orléans, took part in several workshops with the sole objective of preventing them from being one day the victim or perpetrator of a serious or fatal road traffic accident. Code of the road linked to two wheels, fight against addictions (narcotics and alcohol), scenario on a two-wheel simulator and finally a road trip on a 50cm3 scooter. The COBRACED association, the driving school Help Conduite and the Judicial Protection of the Youth of St Martin present during these days, participate in the success of these interventions.

The Road Safety Association SXM also works with the 1200 students from the island's 08 primary schools to train the youngest in first road safety education as part of the City Policy in partnership with the 'National Education.

The next two road safety days will be held in April 2022 in the Sandy-Ground and Concordia sector.
