The annual general meeting of the St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) was recently held at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort. Speaker Isabel Mosk - internationally renowned expert on the use of social media and digital marketing - spoke at the event. She explained the importance of storytelling in destination marketing through, among other things, a blog. “The opportunities in digital marketing are a big investment, increasing every year”, and this method is “generally less expensive than traditional means of marketing”.
