In a press release, the Prime Minister of Sint Maarten announced last Saturday that from Tuesday March 17 all international flights from the USA, Europe, United Kingdom, Canada and Ireland are canceled for a period of 15 days.
Solutions will be proposed for people who had to leave. Commercial flights will be authorized to land and take off to allow the evacuation of people.
As a reminder, airline passengers and crew members who have stayed in China, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Korea, Singapore during the past 21 days are not allowed to transit or enter Sint Maarten
Regional flights are maintained.
The restriction does not apply to residents on both sides of the island.
Boaters are also prohibited from berthing.
Note that the Grand Case airport remains open, it is still possible to travel via Guadeloupe to Paris.
All cruises are also canceled.
However, cargo ships (goods, food) remain authorized.
Gatherings of more than 100 people are also prohibited on the Dutch side.
