Sint Maarten (Covid-19): 39 people tested positive in 24 hours!


In view of the figures recorded on Wednesday January 5, the number of new contaminations is still increasing. 39 people have indeed tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the number of active cases to 92. The total number of confirmed cases is now 1504 since the start of the epidemic.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are still monitoring 90 people placed in isolation at their homes, all showing suspicious symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

In addition, 2 patients are hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

The total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 is 27.

By the good news, the number of people cured since the first case declared in the Dutch part has risen to 1385.

Otherwise, 173 other people are also under surveillance after they may have come into contact with an active case.

Finally, the health services have already tested 2018 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 10242 people across the country.
