The Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Rodolphe Samuel, invites the public to the inauguration of the sports park on the Boardwalk developed in collaboration with Port St. Maarten Group, Argos Cement and the Minister of finances Ardwell Irion this Saturday, June 10 from 16 to 18:30 p.m. in front of the Pasanggrahan Hotel in Philipsburg.

The park includes a fitness circuit with nine different stations, including a wheelchair-friendly apparatus, a calisthenics apparatus, two federation-approved (FIVB) beach volleyball courts, an official bocce court and two small goals for beach football. In addition, a calisthenics device has also been placed at the Belvédère sports park in addition to the existing fitness machines. The use of equipment is free, which makes access to physical activity easier for those who do not have the means to indulge in it on a daily basis. During the inauguration this Saturday, June 10, in addition to trying out the sports equipment, participants will be able to benefit from expert advice during games organized by Fire Fit Gym, Sint Maarten Bodybuilding and Fitness Association, Monster Factory, Sint Maarten Beach Volleyball Association, Sint Maarten Volleyball Association, Sint Maarten Football Federation and Special Olympics Sint Maarten. With the vision of “Sport for All” of the relevant Ministry of Sint Maarten, here are concrete opportunities to maximize the potential of public spaces conducive to physical and recreational activities, such as outdoor fitness, calisthenics and beach sports. _VX
