The Special Robbery Unit is currently investigating three armed robberies that took place in various supermarkets at A. Th. Illidge Road on Saturday, January 17, around 13:30 p.m.
According to the information gathered by the investigators, dispatched on the spot, two male suspects, measuring approximately 1 m and of slim build, arrived successively in front of the three supermarkets on a black scooter.
While one of the criminals was on the lookout on two wheels, the other armed with a gun threatened the cashiers before leaving with the day's receipts.
The two thugs then fled towards Dutch Quarter, with their booty not communicated.
The Sint Maarten police appeal to the population to obtain information which could lead to the arrest of the two criminals.
