It is on the ground floor of what will soon be the new Maison de la Croix Rouge (rue du Soleil Levant in Concordia) that the Carrefour hypermarkets in Martinique and the French Red Cross officially handed over the keys to the Bus Santé to the territorial delegation of Saint-Martin, last Friday.
The "Round up to help" operation raised 28 euros in two and a half days in Carrefour hypermarkets in Martinique, said Guy Blanc, director of one of the three stores. Sum that the establishments then decided to double for a total donation of 000 euros.
“I am extremely happy to come and tell you on behalf of the Martiniquans that you have neighbors. And the first rescuer is our neighbor ”, declared to Saint-Martin Olympe Francil, president of the territorial delegation of Martinique.
The donations were used to buy a utility vehicle equipped to meet the most vulnerable people and thus offer them medico-social actions. 22 pallets of goods were also sent to Saint-Martin, Saint-Barth and Dominica.
