Theo Demanez finishes second in the Foil Surf Racing League in Florida

From March 10 to 12, the first surf foil competition bringing together the best in the world took place in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Saint-Martin kitesurfer Théo Demanez once again proved his talent by taking second place.

According to Théo of Wind Adventures SXM, “the level of surfing was incredible”. And yet, the young man stood out from his comrades during this endurance foil surfing race like no other. The Foil Surf Racing League, organized by Good Breeze Kiteboarding as part of the Beach N Board's Festival in Cocoa Beach which also offered lift foil demonstrations, required an unusual course: the athletes paddled in the waves to start, then descended the beach by riding several waves to an exit point. They then had to go up the beach to the start area to complete a lap. The first rider to complete the designated number of laps wins the heat. It was Brady Hurley, from the Freedom Foil Boards team, who took the winner's podium. Théo Demanez climbs on the second step and Mike Pedigo of Flyline Productions climbs on the third. Congratulations to Theo for this great performance! _VX
