Renovation work on the Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Grand-Case, long awaited by the population, began on Friday September 15.
Louis Mussington, president of the Collectivity, had promised it to the inhabitants of Grand-Case: the project to rehabilitate the Catholic church of Grand-Case, owned by the COM and built in the 1940s alongside the Saint -Martin from Tours to Marigot, finally comes to fruition. The religious building of Grand-Case was heavily damaged during Hurricane Irma in 2017, its renovation will finally erase the scars of the cyclone. Bernadette Davis, 2nd vice-president of the Community in charge of the Living Environment, went to the renovation work on the Mary Star of the Sea church to meet the teams on site and visit the project. This work will be spread over a period of 7 months for a total amount of €713.739. _VX
