Dominique Jane, out-of-class sub-prefect, was appointed by decree of the Prime Minister, the Ministers of the Interior and the Overseas to the prefect of Guadeloupe, project director to "animate and coordinate the actions of the reconstruction plan in the the islands of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, for a period of three years ”.
Dominique Jane arrived in the Antilles in September at the request of Gérard Collomb, the Minister of the Interior "to strengthen the organization of state services" on the two islands.
Dominique Jane had been a project manager at the request of the government to manage the "Bad Weather Plan 43" in order to provide support, advice to mayors and residents of the affected municipalities as well as the coordination of state services.
