The Métimer association has a new president in the person of Béatrice Wojcik (Polypat Caraïbes).
Surrounded by the new members of the office, she presented the lines of work at a press conference on Friday. Seven commissions have been created: 4 business commissions (fishing, day charter / boat rental, nautical industry and physical and sports activities) and 3 transversal commissions (training / regulations / cooperation, events / tourism, territory). The statutes were broadened and allowed fishermen to join the association. "We must all work together to create a dynamic within the nautical sector which lacked cohesion", confided the president.
Attended the conference representatives of the management of the sea, the Deal, the marina Fort Louis, the Drajes (youth and sport). The COM, the tourist office and the nature reserve could not be present.
