Ségolène Royal, the Minister of the Environment, will be on an official visit to the Antilles-Guyana from March 12. Ms. Royal is expected in Guadeloupe, then in Martinique, to discuss the theme of biodiversity and energy transition, following COP 21, according to her official agenda. The Minister will chair the Cartagena Convention in Guyana, dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the marine environment in the Caribbean region. According to the Department of the Environment, Planning and Housing (DEAL) of Guadeloupe, this agreement was signed on March 24, 1983 in Cartagena de Indias, and entered into force in 1986.
