A conference on the implementation of renewable energies in island territories organized on Saturday March 16 at the CCISM

At the initiative of the Ensolus association chaired by Raj Charbhe, a conference on the challenges and perspectives of the implementation of renewable energies on our small island territories is organized this Saturday, March 16, from 9 a.m., in the premises of the CCISM at Concordia.

Several speakers will be present during this information and discussion meeting open to the general public. Among the guests, we will note the presence of Clara Brander, Architect DPLG, President of the association of architects of Saint-Martin and treasurer of the Ensolus association, who will introduce through introductory remarks the issues and perspectives of energy autonomy .

Murielle Mathias-Planques, IDN Territorial Director of CEPAC, will talk about green financing in the Northern Islands and in particular the notable progress in Saint Barthélemy.

For her part, Sabrina Charville, Director of Quality and Sustainable Development at Saint-Martin – Grand-Case Airport, will discuss the EDEIS ecological commitment at the airports it manages, and in particular at Grand-Case.

Coming from Guadeloupe, Eustase Janky, former President of the University of the Antilles  will encourage Saint-Martin youth to embrace careers linked to the development of renewable energies. He will also discuss existing courses at the University of the Antilles and advise interested future students (Parcoursup). Note that Eustase Janky will speak to future high school graduates at the Robert Weinum high school this Friday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m.

Finally, Ted Soubdhan, physicist at the University of the West Indies, Head of the Master's degree "Energy Management in Smart Cities", will talk about domestic solar installations, industrial wind installations, domestic and industrial hydrogen installations and how to mix these three types of energies to sustain the supply of energy.

While waiting to know the name of the surprise guest, each intervention will last 10 to 15 minutes, following which a short question-and-answer session will open with the audience present.
