0

TW, one of three alleged burglars from an ATM, appeared in court last Thursday to answer charges of burglary at a meeting in Hope State.

During the night of June 21-22, several individuals managed to cut off the power supply to a bank machine in Hope State, in order to deactivate the alarm. They will leave with tens of thousands of euros. On the burglary scene, the individuals forget a backpack including a headlamp with TW's DNA. As for the two other suspects, their fingerprints are found on cash drawers. TW denies the charges at the bar. According to him, a man lent him the headlamp while his car was broken down. He went on to suggest that he was in Saint-Barthélemy on the day of the events. However, TW is unable to prove this. The vice-prosecutor requests that additional information be ordered before his requisitions: with the aim that searches for the identification of the two other suspects be undertaken through the file on the Dutch side. The court receives the constitution of the civil party, issued by the bank victim of the damage, and decides a dismissal for next June 23. _KL
